Long Silence, Life Changes
Wow, it has been a month, huh?
Truth be told, I don't know if I have any readers or if I'm blogging into the void, but in case I do still have a reader or two: hi there! Thanks for sticking around.
This post is just a quick update to keep my online presence, well, present. A lot has changed for me since the start of October. I'm currently commuting one and a half hours one way for a new job that pays substantially less than my old job, though I can't complain too much because a lot of other folks who got laid off with me can't find work. Plus I have it on good authority that the lower pay will change with time. It's a small business, I'm friendly with the boss. I consider it an investment of a sort.
Still, the commute eats heavily into my free time as one might expect, thus the first post in a month. We're looking for a place to rent closer in but everyone knows how much of a hassle that can be. Plus other life shenanigans are happening, because they never stop happening.
Things are generally good though. Honestly, I'm not complaining. I like the new job all told. I like not working in a cubicle for a faceless corp, I like that it keeps me somewhat active and inadvertently keeps me from being so snacky (already dropped five pounds), and I like the people I work with.
So yeah, if anyone's keeping up with me, I'm still alive. Just busy. But I'll be back to posting more often soon-ish I hope.
